A fun and challenging figure 8 course on good, if sometimes narrow, roads. Starting in Spanish Fork, ride south through Payson to Goshen. Through Goshen Canyon to Mona. Then back north through Santaquin, up to Benjamin, and back to the start. Generally a rural ride with lots of farms and wide-open spaces. Expect a busy 3-mile stretch with fast moving traffic with trucks on US-6 between Genola and Goshen. Regroup at Ryder’s Gas Station on the west side of Goshen at about the 23.5 mile mark. Climb through Goshen Canyon and ride around Mona Lake. Beautiful views of Mt. Nebo and the Wasatch Range. Ideally we'll have an assistant ride leader to accommodate various pace groups. Please review the Ride with GPS map and be familiar with the route. Sending the route to your smart phone’s RwGPS mobile app will give you audible cues. Usually includes a cold wind coming out of Spanish Fork Canyon during the first part of the ride so bring layers. Getting there: I-15 SB. Take Exit 257A and drive south on Main St. Just past the Fairgrounds, turn right onto Volunteer Drive and get into the left lane. In about a half-mile that lane turns left.
