Want to learn more about our local geologic history? Then please join me, your friendly geologist, on a social ride to the G.K. Gilbert Geologic View Park! We'll spend ~15 minutes talking about the geologic history of the Wasatch Front and Little Cottonwood Canyon. And if you'd rather not listen to me drone on, the park has some nice informational signs to read. It's a bit of a climb to get there, so bring plenty of water and perhaps a snack to have at our stop. Unfortunately, the park has no shade, so hopefully the day won't be too hot.
