Description
Stroopwafel. A stroopwafel is a northern European snack. For those of you familiar with Honey Stinger or other energy waffles sold to athletes, they are based on the stroopwafel paradigm. I think there are several places where a local can get prepackaged, preservative-laden stroopwafels. The Twinkies of stroopwafel. But as far as I know there is only one place in northern Utah where you can get a fresh made-to-order stroopwafel. So let's get that off the old bucket list! [Pretend there's a paragraph break here] This is a loop ride from Fairmont Park in SLC with a stop at the Old Dutch Store. They do stroop. They only do it on Wednesdays. The ride will be B/C paced but mostly C. There is no point in rushing because they don't start making them till a bit after 11 o'clock. [Information last verified August 2024]
