Description
A tour of the Salt Lake City Valley, with Suncrest added in for good measure. Starting on the north side of Draper City Park, we will ride up the east side of the valley along Wasatch Boulevard until we end up behind the Capitol Building by way of the Avenues and Bonneville Boulevard (City Creek). As we travel west, we will go through the various paths and gates in the airport to get out to Saltair. Don't be daunted by riding on Highway 201 near Kennecott, the shoulder is as wide as a full lane and there isn't a lot of traffic. The west side of the ride will primarily be on Mountain View Corridor, with a small portion initially on Bacchus Highway. At this point, the beauty of the Wasatch and Oquirrh mountains, as well as the view of the SLC Valley, should be enough inspiration to get you to the southside of the point of the mountain, where we will traverse one final climb before the finish, Suncrest. Please study the map and be aware of convenience store stops. Navigation is recommended. Come tour the city of saints.
