Description
3 mileage options (read on) for this Jordan River trail ride. We start at the urban fishing ponds stocked with fish where there's always action. Ride to the Utah Indian tribes monument, site of a 3,000 year old village. (That's how this ride got its name: Ponds & Piutes) Then up one big ole' hill on the way to our turn around at 14600 South.
Several mileage options – suitable for ALL riders11 miles RT to the trailside park at 12300 South and a spur loop. 13 miles RT to the Indian tribes monument. 16 miles RT if you do the whole ride. It's posted as D pace (because I'm slow.) But you can sprint like the wind or pedal leisurely. We just stay on the trail. Nobody will get pushed or left behind. Watch for red wing blackbirds, pelicans, and geese that often waddle on the trail.
