Description
This ride goes up the remote-ish and lovely paved road that climbs eastward out of Heber City.
The route couldn't be more simple since it's just up and up till you turn around. The last few miles undulate through aspen with hardly any motor vehicle traffic. Note that on the descent it will feel like it is so untrafficked and gently meandering that you can really rip it, but there are a couple of hairpin switchbacks over those miles, so, uhh, don't die.The description I put in Ride With GPS: "This route starts at Main Street Park in Heber City and takes Lake Creek Drive to the east until the pavement ends. It starts gently and at about halfway out (7 mi) the grade starts to bite, climbing to a narrow slightly winding route through aspen. The turnaround is at the National Forest boundary. Return via the same route. Then eat pancakes at Chick's Cafe, if you know what's good for you."
