Hey BCCers! The weather looks good for another Metric with a fun twist. This Summit County Metric will have a 100% paved option and a second option that's 54/46 pavement to unpaved rail trail and/or graded gravel roads. So bring your off-road bike if you want to venture into the dirt or your road wheels if you prefer to stick to pavement. Text me at 385-244-0101 if you are interested in leading out the tarmac group for coveted end-of- season Ride Leader credit. Both routes depart the Coalville Courthouse and head to Echo Junction via slightly different means. The routes converge at Echo Junction for the Echo Canyon Road jaunt. On return to Echo Junction the dirt route traverses under I 84 to the S Echo Frontage Road. The routes converge again for rendezvous at Grumps General Store in Henefer. From there the routes run roughly parallel to Wanship and back to Coalville. The gravel route sticks to the rail trail and lower valley. The paved route has an additional 554 ft TVG due to the rollers on W & S Hoytsville Roads. These routes are not marked so please study the RWGPS maps and download for navigation cues.
