FALL IS HERE!

The changing leaf colors and cooler temps remind us that another riding season is drawing to an end. It's a good time to consider what we have yet to do and reflect on what we've accomplished.

Get Your Rides In

If you are hoping to be awarded a series jersey at the February Banquet that's scheduled for the evening of February 8, 2020, remember you need seven Super Series, seven Metrics, 10 Socials, 10 Climbs (on at least three different routes), or seven Mountain Bike rides to qualify.

Ladies, if you are planning to ride Little Red, remember to get your five rides in before the end of October to bypass the lottery.

Little Red Donations

The Little Red Riding Hood ride continues to make a difference in our community thanks to hundreds of volunteers and thousands of riders. Thanks to all of you, BCC was able to donate $96,000 to the Huntsman Cancer Foundation, and the cities and organizations that help Little Red. When BCC’s donation is coupled with the donations by Hometown Heroes, the impact made by the ride totals $229,500.

Tricky Treat Ride, October 26 - Save the Date!

If you haven't started planning your costume for the Tricky Treat ride, now's the time. The short, flat ride starts at 10am with a costume contest then travels through downtown. Following the ride, we'll have a general membership meeting and pot luck. The club will provide the entree. Check the club calendar for more details.

Join the Board, Influence Club Policy

If you or someone you know is interested in running for the board, be sure to turn in your nominations to Lance Gallegos before October 15. (Please, if you are nominating another, check with them first.) Candidates will be profiled in a special edition of the club newsletter to be published on October 22. Elections will be open from October 29 - November 5.

New Ride Marking Policy Effective November 1

The board approved a policy that makes marking all rides optional effective November 1, 2019, which is the start of the 2020 riding season. Once this new policy is in effect, assume rides are not marked unless noted differently in the ride description on the club's ride calendar. Ride leaders will be required to bring cue sheets to all series rides and series rides will still be required to be open-paced.
