27 miles / O OPEN Pace / 5 Flat / c Salt Lake area
This 27-mile ride showcases two recent additions to Salt Lake’s urban trail network: 1) The final segment of the Jordan River Parkway Trail through Salt Lake City between 200 South and North Temple, and 2), the Parley’s Trail connection with the Jordan River off 900 West. Our agenda is to first spin north on the parkway trail and ride across the new $16M bridge spanning the railroad tracks adjacent to the Jordan River, connecting 200 South with North Temple. Then, we’ll backtrack and pickup Parley’s Trail and ride it in to Sugerhouse where, we’ll stop at a café for lunch before returning to the trailhead. The terrain is easy flat to rolling. Bring money for lunch; bike locks are recommended. Meet Elliott in Murray by the Jordan River at the 4800 South Trailhead, located on the north side of 4800 South at 550 West, at 10:00am.
Meet at: Arrowhead Trailhead in Murray. Drive 4800 South to 550 West. We\'ll be on the north side of the road, on the east side of the Jordan River.
